Australia’s largest pizza company Domino’s has appointed a new Global Development Chef, Michael Treacy, who is cooking up big plans to create new flavours and introduce new products to the Domino’s menu.

Starting at a woodfired pizza restaurant in his home town in country Victoria, Michael has been on a food journey that has taken him around the world to the likes of Foliage at the Mandarin Oriental Knightsbridge and the ultimate luxury hotel in London Claridge’s.

Domino’s reports record profit and increases dividend on higher sales

Domino’s Pizza Enterprises Ltd (ASX:DMP) has reported a record Full Year Net Profit After Tax (NPAT1) of $136.2m, +15.0% higher than the previous Financial Year (FY),and lifted its full year dividend +15.5% to 107.8 cents per share, based on growing sales in all markets.

With the Company adding almost six stores a week in FY18; building 145 new stores and acquiring 163 stores from other brands, total sales grew +11.7% to $2.59 billion.

Domino’s Drought Doughraiser Donates Over $170k

On Wednesday 8 August, Domino’s stores and hungry customers across Australia banded together to help raise in excess of $174k for Rural Aid, to support Australian farmers and rural communities affected by drought.

Domino’s CEO Australia and New Zealand Nick Knight who was born in drought ravaged Country NSW in Tamworth said that, in addition to the funds raised from the national ‘Doughraiser’, Domino’s own registered charity, Give for Good, donated $40,000 to the cause.

Domino’s to raise much-needed dough for drought-affected communities

Australia’s largest pizza maker, Domino’s has announced it will donate 50c from every pizza sold across Australia on Wednesday 8 August from 4-9pm to Rural Aid, to support Australian farmers and rural communities affected by drought.

Domino’s CEO Australia and New Zealand Nick Knight said that in addition to the funds raised from the national ‘Doughraiser’ Domino’s own registered charity, Give for Good, will also donate an additional $40,000 to the cause.

Domino’s proudly pays penalty rates to team members – looks forward to level playing field

Domino’s has confirmed it continues to pay team members penalty rates, including on Sundays, with wages among the highest in our industry.

Domino’s team members are paid according to the Modern Fast Food Award, which means they receive penalty rates for late nights, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. This includes delivery drivers who are hired as employees, not contractors, with the same entitlements as other team members.

Domino’s unveils Vegan Cheesy Garlic Bread

Vegans rejoice! Australia’s largest pizza maker, Domino’s, has announced it’s expanding its vegan offerings with the addition of Vegan Cheesy Garlic Bread to the menu.

Domino’s CEO for Australia and New Zealand Nick Knight said the Company’s garlic bread is vegan friendly but now vegans can also enjoy the cheesy version of Domino’s most popular accompaniment.

“We’ve had great support and engagement from the vegan community on our dedicated Facebook group for vegan cheese enthusiasts, and have been seeing lots of suggestions that we should create a vegan friendly alternative to our cheesy garlic bread,” Mr Knight said.

Domino’s appoints new Group CIO

Domino’s Pizza Enterprises Limited (Domino’s) confirms the appointment of Terry Powell to the role of Group Chief Information Officer (CIO) across the company’s seven markets, commencing in June 2018.

With more than 20 years’ experience in IT leadership, security, management consulting and marketing across a range of sectors, including financial services, government agencies and retail, Terry will oversee the strategic and operational aspects of Domino’s technology and infrastructure solutions.
