EATING FOR A 'SLICE' OF GOLD!

While we can’t claim to be a professional swimmer, sprinter, rower, or gymnast, at Domino’s, there is one thing we do think we’re pretty good at… and that’s eating pizza!

With the biggest sporting event occurring just once every four years, there’s never been a better time to be inspired by the dedication of our Aussie athletes!

So, why not channel some of that sporting spirit and put your drive and determination to work to become the very best pizza eater you can be?

Not sure where to start? We’re included our top three tips below.

Tip 1: Only run for pizza

Sprinting for fun? Yeah, nah. Sprinting for pizza? Now you’re talking our language! There’s nothing that gets our feet moving quicker than when the Delivery Expert arrives at the door with a piping hot Domino’s pizza! After all, we’d jump over any hurdle to get our hands on a slice of Pepperoni pizza! Practice running from your couch to the door to meet your Delivery Expert quicker. Because the faster you get there, the faster you get pizza in your mouth, right?

Tip 2: Practice sit ups… to get off the couch quicker

Nothing will increase your couch-to-door speed quite like having a strong core. Practice sit ups every day to work on that core strength so you can… sit up and push off the couch quickly when you hear your Delivery Expert arrive! If you ever need motivation to dig deep when completing that last set of sit ups, a slice of pizza dangling in front of you should do the trick. See for yourself just how well this tactic works for us below!

Tip 3: “Curls get the…” pizza to your mouth quicker

To optimise your pizza to mouth speed, practice pumping those arms with a slice of pizza in each hand! Getting those arms moving has never been tastier – or lighter! You’ll be an expert in pizza-lifting and eating by the time the weightlifters take the stage – all from the comfort of your couch, of course!

Okay, so while these training tips might not be what athletes do to become the very best, there’s no doubt they’re tasty… and fun.

The best part? Just as how this once in four years sporting event brings everyone together, Domino’s also brings family and friends closer to share a meal.

Let’s face it – we can’t all be athletes at the top of our field. But, we can all be expert pizza eaters as we cheer on our Aussie athletes as they compete for gold!

And doing it from the comfort of your couch, while enjoying a slice of piping hot pizza with your nearest and dearest? Well, we think that’s pretty ‘gold’ too.
