Domino's offers Zero Contact Delivery
Domino’s is now offering customers in Australia and New Zealand the option to choose a Zero Contact Delivery.
The free service is in response to some customers wishing to limit unnecessary physical contact during the current COVID-19 health crisis.
While the Company already has strict hygiene and handling procedures, Domino’s Australia and New Zealand CEO Nick Knight said it was important to provide an option for customers to feel even safer when ordering in these uncertain times.
“The health and safety of our team members and customers is our number one priority,” he said.
“We understand the trust our customers place in us to deliver safe, freshly prepared meals and take this responsibility incredibly seriously.
“All of our stores follow strict food safety and hygiene procedures, including regular handwashing, sanitisation and wearing gloves when making pizzas. Our pizzas are then cooked in an oven that exceeds 260 degrees Celsius and are not touched again by human hands.
“If offering the option of a Zero Contact Delivery gives our team members and customers peace of mind, then it’s a step we’re willing to take.”
When choosing a Zero Contact Delivery, the Delivery Expert will place the order on a safe surface at the customer’s designated delivery location and move back two metres.
The Delivery Expert will then let the customer know their order has arrived via phone and will wait to confirm they have received their meal.
All Zero Contact Delivery orders must be pre-paid online or over the phone.
