You can now have your pizza and eat for charity too!

Just when you thought there wasn’t a lot of good news being shared in 2020, Domino’s has today announced a 120K pizza & charity giveaway.

This will consist of 60,000 FREE* pizzas to customers and donating $60,000 to charity~.

The lucky winners will get to choose a charity for Domino’s to ‘doughnate’ $1 to.

Domino’s has narrowed the search and nominated four worthy charities to help support.

Domino’s ANZ CEO Nick Knight said that with so many people doing it tough this year and so many charities working hard to offer support during these hard times, the pizza chain wanted to do what it could to help.

“2020 has been tough. I don’t think there’s anyone that hasn’t been touched, in some way, by the events of this year,” said Mr Knight.

“One of the things I admire most about Australians is our unique ability to band together and support each other in times of need. And it’s that resilient, community focused spirit we try to bring to everything we do at Domino’s.”

Charities include AIME which provides a mentoring program for Indigenous students; Foodbank which provides food to vulnerable Australians; White Cloud Foundation which provides mental health support; and Australian Red Cross which provides support to people and communities, particularly in tough times such as disasters and pandemics.

“We know it’s been a privilege to continue safely operating during this time, and haven’t taken that responsibility lightly,” said Mr Knight.

“From helping to keep people at home, safely fed, to offering employment opportunities to those out of work, and donating thousands of pizzas to the vulnerable and people on the frontline – we’ve been looking for every opportunity to provide support and give back.

“And now we’re asking for your help. We want to bring a smile to your face with free pizza, and we want you to help us bring a smile to someone else’s face by paying it forward and selecting a charity for us to donate $1 to on your behalf.”

For those looking to score a free pizza and support charity, Domino’s is giving away 10,000 pizza vouchers per day, for six days, via Facebook at 11am (AEST) daily between Sunday 2 August 2020 and Friday 7 August 2020. Winners will also get the opportunity to choose one of four charities for Domino’s to donate $1 to on their behalf, with $60,000 in total to be donated.

Pizza vouchers valid until 30 September 2020. ~Giveaway participants who obtain a free pizza will be asked to choose a charity from a selection which Domino’s nominates. Domino’s will make a donation of $1 to that charity. Any of the $60,000 commitment not allocated to a charity by a giveaway participant will be donated to the selected charities in equal shares.
