Multi-award-winning franchisee to lead Domino’s corporate operations
Domino’s Pizza Enterprises Ltd (Domino’s) is excited to announce the appointment of Greg Steenson to Head of Corporate Operations.
Mr Steenson, who began his Domino’s journey as a pizza delivery driver more than two decades ago at Belmont in Newcastle, NSW, will oversee all Domino’s-owned stores in Australia.
Domino’s ANZ Chief Executive Officer David Burness said Mr Steenson was one of the brand’s most successful and most respected operators.
“I am thrilled to have him on board to help lead our corporate operations and beyond,” Mr Burness said.
"Greg knows how to build and run a successful multi-unit Domino’s business. He is customer-focused and fanatical about operational excellence. His stores have, for many years, been some of the best in Australia.”
Mr Steenson franchised his first store at East Maitland in 2007 with business partner Nathan Carrington.
They would go on to own and operate a further six Domino’s stores in the Hunter region winning both local and international recognition for their work, including three Domino’s ANZ Leadership Eagle Awards and a Domino’s International Gold Franny Award.
The dynamic duo will continue their working relationship at Domino’s with Mr Carrington appointed to National Operations Manager.
“After 20 years working alongside one another, this is a very exciting new chapter for both of us,” Mr Carrington said.
“I still remember my very first managers meeting as a fresh-faced Manager In Training where the-then two biggest franchisees Don Meij and Grant Bourke announced they were selling their stores to Domino’s and taking on the corporate business to create what is now the biggest pizza company in the country.
“I have been hooked on Domino’s ever since and right now there has never been so much opportunity.
“I am filled with so much confidence that we have the team to deliver amazing results and grow the next generation of Domino’s leaders.”
