Domino’s raises $373,000 on World Pizza Day in support of Minds & Meals charity
Domino’s Pizza Enterprises Ltd (Domino’s) is pleased to share that, thanks to the generosity of our loyal customers, an impressive $373,000 was raised on Domino’s for Good Day in support of the Company’s new charity, Minds & Meals.
Each year on Domino’s for Good Day (February 9: World Pizza Day), Domino’s stores across Australia and New Zealand band together to donate $1 from every pizza* and 10 cents from every drink** to Minds & Meals.
Since its inception in 2022, Domino’s for Good Day has raised $663,000 for charity.
Don Meij, Domino’s ANZ CEO and Executive Director of Minds & Meals said he was humbled by the community's response.
"As one of the largest employers of young people, Domino’s recognises the urgent need for youth mental health support in our communities. Additionally, we are in the position to respond quickly in times of disaster and provide hot meals and much-needed funds to those who need them most.
"I’m incredibly proud to support these important causes through our new charity, Minds & Meals, which is only made possible through the generosity team members who donate through their pay and our customers who round up their orders and purchase pizzas on Domino's for Good Day.
“Together, we raised $373,000 on just one day, demonstrating the immense impact of collective action.
“This money will go towards supporting our charity partners – headspace in Australia and Youthline in New Zealand – to improve the mental wellbeing of young people.”
Domino’s extends its gratitude to all the ‘everyday heroes’ who chose to support Domino's for Good Day by purchasing their favorite Domino’s pizza or drink on February 9, 2024.
