LEAKED: Domino’s plans to build a GIANT Doughnut in Queensland!

Stop what you’re dough-ing! Blueprints have been leaked, revealing Domino’s deliciously ambitious plans to add to Australia’s iconic ‘Big Things’ with a colossal 5-metre Giant Doughnut statue, set to rise in Moranbah, Queensland.

Australia’s newest iconic landmark celebrates the return of Domino’s Giant Doughnuts to menus nationwide, after Australia devoured a staggering 32 tonnes of the sweet treat in just seven days last year – that's more than the weight of the Big Prawn in NSW!

Digging deeper into the leaked files, it appears Moranbah, QLD has been crowned as Australia’s doughnut capital, with locals devouring more Giant Doughnuts than any other region during last year’s limited-time offering. Astonishingly, about 1 in 18 Moranbah residents indulged in the delectable dessert.

While construction is still in the planning phase, Domino’s is throwing a sweet celebration to thank Moranbah for its unwavering support. On March 31st, between 4-5 pm (or until stocks run out), the Moranbah store will be slinging FREE Giant Doughnuts to eager locals.

Domino’s Moranbah Franchise Partner Belinda said, “We have been absolutely blown away by Moranbah's insatiable appetite for our Giant Doughnuts and it is an honour Domino’s is recognising the local dedication to our delicious dessert. This statue will be a testament to Moranbah’s sweet tooth and a fun, quirky addition to their community."

Domino’s ANZ Chief Marketing Officer, Allan Collins said, “We've been buzzing with ideas to celebrate the Giant Doughnuts relaunch! We're thinking big, really big. Something...doughnut-sized, you might say. And after all the amazing support we got from Moranbah last time, we're definitely feeling inspired to bring something special there.”

“Following the whirlwind romance with Aussie tastebuds last year, we knew we had to bring these whopping 16cm, piping hot, doughy delights back. We could barely keep up last time – Aussies went wild! Now, three fan-favourite flavours, Sprinkles, Original Glazed, and Cookie Crumble, are here to make up for lost time and satisfy those sweet cravings.”

For those not in Moranbah, customers nationwide can pick one up for just $7 or get it delivered for $7.50. Plus, you can feel good about your indulgence - Domino’s will donate 20 cents from every Giant Doughnut sold to its Minds & Meals charity, supporting youth mental health and disaster relief.
