DOMINO’S ROUNDS UP FOR CHARITY
Domino’s Pizza Enterprises Limited (“Domino’s”) registered charity, Give for Good has launched a new initiative called Round Up for Charity introducing crowd-sourced philanthropy to pizza loving customers.
When Domino’s customers place their order online, they will now be given the option to round up their order to the nearest dollar where their small change is set to make a BIG change.
Give for Good Director of Giving, John Harney said microdonations have the power to create a significant impact.
“We trialled this initiative online and found that over 10 per cent of customers opted to generously round up their order and donate their small change to charities and organisations who need it the most,” Mr Harney said.
“When you consider Domino’s sells over one million pizzas a week, this small change has the power to make a huge difference in supporting charitable initiatives in Australia.”
Not-for-profit organisations are increasingly needing to adapt to the changing ways in which people are choosing to donate to make giving as fast and convenient as possible.
“We have always said that pizza brings people together, so it makes sense to us that donation-based crowdfunding or crowdsourced philanthropy would be popular with our customers because it draws people together behind a worthy cause.
