Knead dough? Domino’s is delivering more than 7,000 jobs!
Domino’s Australia has today launched its biggest recruitment drive yet, with the Company looking to hire an additional 7,000+ team members before the end of the year.
While a job at Domino’s can’t be ‘topped’, the pizza company is giving it a red-hot crack – offering up a year’s worth of free pizza and a Nintendo Switch to one successful applicant*.
Domino’s ANZ CEO David Burness, who started his career in pizza as a delivery driver more than thirty years ago, said the Company is seeking full-time, part-time, and casual roles for its 720+ stores.
“Domino’s is a fast-paced business that is forever changing – from our tasty products to our world-class operations and innovative technology. But there is one thing that always remains the same – our people are the heart of our business.
“With more than 19,000 team members across Australia (and growing), we’re looking for more people to join the Domino’s family to help us safely prepare and deliver hot meals this holiday season.
“We’re also giving one lucky applicant a years’ worth of free pizza and a brand new Nintendo Switch! While we don’t want you throwing any blue shells out while driving, or slipping on any bananas, you can certainly practice your (safe) hustle skills playing Mario Kart virtually!
“At the end of the day though, what’s better than a job at Domino’s? Being able to share the joy of pizza with your family and friends!”
But for many, a career at Domino’s is about more than just pizza.
Whether you are looking for a casual job to earn some extra ‘dough’ while at school or studying, or a fun and fast paced career, Domino's is proud to offer training and development opportunities for everyone.
“As one of Australia’s largest employers, we recognise how important it is to teach our team members more than just how to make a pizza. Our development and training initiatives focus on important life skills such as teamwork, communication, and accountability through hands-on, practical training.
“Over the next 12 months, we will also be rolling out our ‘Path to Excellence’ program, which is focused on accelerating the development of people through the Domino’s system; from today’s pizza maker or delivery driver to tomorrow’s store manager, franchisee, or business leader.
“Designed to provide team members with a world-class training experience across multiple areas of the business, including operations, leadership and culture, this program will be offered to all employees by a range of learning methods such as eLearning, on the job training and classroom.”
Set to gamify the learning experience through a personalised avatar, learner maps, virtual badges, and trophies, Domino’s ‘Path to Excellence’ program will present new and exciting opportunities for team members to progress through the business, including the steps to take on their own ‘slice’ of the pizza pie.
Mr Burness himself started in the pizza business in 1991. Since then, he has been a Delivery Driver, Store Manager, Operations Trainer, Franchisee and Chief Operating Officer. Now, he is the CEO of Domino’s Australia and New Zealand.
“At Domino’s, if you have a passion for people and are hungry to learn, absolutely anything is possible!”
Those interested in applying for a job at Domino’s and a ‘slice’ of the $1,000+ prize pool should submit an expression of interest via the Domino’s Jobs website: jobs.dominos.com.au.
