All rise for Domino’s new... Bread!

Domino’s is breaking bread this April by serving up piping hot loaves of its famous garlic bread – sans the garlic.

Developed in response to a growing ‘knead’ for uncomplicated food options, Domino’s ANZ CEO Nick Knight said the new menu addition wasn’t just the best thing since sliced bread – it actually was sliced bread.

“There’s been a lot going on in all of our lives and our customers have told us enough is enough. They are craving simplicity and less pressure to post everything they eat on social media,” Mr Knight said.

“That’s why we have completely re-invented our best-selling Garlic Bread. We’ve taken it right back to the grain and removed the sensory overload of garlic and butter altogether.

“It’s simple food done... simpler. Nothing but soft white loaves, baked hot and fresh, straight from the oven.”

Mr Knight said the new Domino’s Bread also addressed an issue likely to become apparent as the COVID-19 vaccine roll out eventually signalled a return to normal life. “Covid has kept us physically distanced, but garlic breath could further prolong our social isolation if we’re not careful,” he said.

“Months of lockdowns, face masks and the overpowering scent of sanitiser may have caused many to forget the challenges of garlic breath in social situations.

“Once it’s safe to be together again, Domino’s Bread will remove the risk of any awkward, and potentially date night-destroying, garlic breath encounters, while still satisfying the need for comforting carbs and human contact.”
