Domino’s Pizza Enterprises Ltd (Domino’s) is proud to have been awarded Corporate Philanthropist of the Year (sponsored by The Public Trustee of Queensland) by the Queensland Community Foundation, as a result of the support offered to the Company’s registered charity, Give for Good.

The Queensland Community Foundation’s Corporate Philanthropist of the Year award recognises corporations with more than 200 employees that have created a culture of philanthropy and have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to philanthropy through their financial support of one or more non-profit organisations. The award also looks at organisations that demonstrate leadership, encourage volunteer participation, and have a record of philanthropic support.

Domino’s was recognised for the Company’s ‘Round up for Charity’ initiative, which allows customers to round up their pizza order to the nearest dollar to support the Company’s registered charity, Give for Good and its partners, as well as Domino’s Workplace Giving efforts across both corporate and store employees, and the additional donations that have been made to Give for Good’s partners.

Domino’s ANZ CEO David Burness said it was humbling to be recognised with this award.

“Since the inception of Round Up for Charity in 2017, generous pizza lovers from across Australia have rounded up their pizza order more than 10 million times. We are so grateful for our customers’ support, as these microdonations help Give for Good provide support to communities across the country,” he said.

Domino’s has always had a philosophy of giving back to the communities in which it operates.

“One of Domino’s core values is to ‘do the right thing because it’s the right thing to do’, and this became even more evident during the pandemic when Domino’s and Give for Good created a program called Feeding the Frontline, where Domino’s stores were encouraged to donate pizzas to frontline workers such as health workers, supermarket employees, teachers and emergency services workers and volunteers,” said Mr Burness.

“The program remains and is now known as ‘Feed the Knead’ where an individual, community group, charity or organisation can be nominated to receive a pizza donation.

“We’re very appreciative to our hundreds of stores across the country who help Feed the Knead and make a difference to their local communities.”
