Domino’s and Uber sign deal delivering Australian customers more value

Domino’s Pizza Enterprises Ltd (Domino’s) and Uber have signed a global deal, which will provide local Uber customers even greater value when ordering their favour pizza.

The agreement, announced overnight between Domino’s Pizza Inc and Uber, will allow Uber One subscribers in Australia to use their membership to unlock free delivery on every Domino’s order for the first time.

Domino’s Group CEO & Managing Director Don Meij said the agreement was a win for customers and a win for franchisees serving pizza across Domino’s 750 Australian stores.

“We are excited that Uber, the largest delivery aggregator in the Australian market, and Domino’s, Australia’s most popular pizza, are joining forces to offer even more value to customers,” Mr Meij said.

“Domino’s pioneered home delivered pizza globally in the 1960s and, here in Australia, we led the way with ordering food online, including with the first mobile app.

“This agreement is a logical next step for Domino’s; opening up to Uber’s most frequent customers, Uber One subscribers, so they can access even better value when ordering a hot, freshly prepared meal.

“Domino’s delivery experts will continue to deliver our customers’ orders, by car, scooter or electric bicycle, which means our delivery times will continue to lead the nation.

“We know our franchisees are excited about opening up access to an even larger number of customers, winning them over with fast, safe delivery, and exciting new products such as our My Domino’s Box, all at an affordable price.

“The only thing better than a hot, fresh, home delivered Domino’s meal is a hot, fresh, home delivered Domino’s meal without a delivery fee.

“We know times are challenging for customers, who are feeling the pressures of increasing cost of living, and we are proud to be able to give something back by passing through lower every-day prices.”
