Top 10 Pizza loving suburbs in lockdown

There’s many things we’ve had to forgo in isolation – but thankfully, pizza is not one of them. Tasty, affordable and delivered safely, it’s one of the few vices we can still indulge in.

Domino’s has shared a list of the top 10 pizza loving suburbs in lockdown – with Port Macquarie, NSW topping the list with an average of more than 2,500 pizza orders each week.

Domino’s Australia and New Zealand CEO Nick Knight said the Company considers it a privilege to be able to provide a ‘slice of normalcy’ for Australians at this time.

“With many people staying inside and doing their bit to flatten the curve, we’re seeing an increase in demand for Zero Contact Delivery.

“And it’s no surprise, with parents becoming full time workers and teachers overnight, people cancelling holiday plans, and friends unable to celebrate milestones and special occasions together – pizza is a welcome distraction and treat for all,” Mr Knight said.

“We are proud that we can play a small part in helping people connect and celebrate in an otherwise challenging time.”

Domino’s has implemented a number of operational changes to ensure the ongoing safety of team members and customers.

“In addition to our standard rigorous food safety and hygiene practices, we have implemented initiatives such as Zero Contact Pick-up and Delivery; thermometer testing for team members; hand sanitiser for customers; and physical barriers to assist social distancing in our stores,” Mr Knight said.

Domino’s remains open for Zero Contact Pick-up and Delivery.
