Domino’s launches ‘Call on Arrival’ technology to deliver hotter, fresher pizzas to customers
Ever been caught off guard by the arrival of your Domino’s Delivery Expert?
Thanks to the launch of Domino’s Call on Arrival, you’ll never answer the door unprepared – or soaking wet, in a towel – again!
Domino’s new Call on Arrival service aims to ensure customers are ready to receive their piping hot pizza order moments before it arrives.
Domino’s Australia and New Zealand CEO Nick Knight said Domino’s Call on Arrival was created to help deliver Aussies hotter, fresher pizza.
“We know that time is the enemy of food, which means every minute counts when delivering safe, piping hot pizza.
“Ultimately, the longer a customer has to wait to bite into their first slice of pizza, the lower their satisfaction with the meal,” Mr Knight said.
“Domino’s Call on Arrival reduces the amount of time it takes customers to accept their order by triggering an automated voice call to the customer approximately two minutes before their Delivery Expert is expected to arrive at their door.
“Installed on every Domino’s delivery vehicle Australia-wide, and monitored by GPS Driver Tracker, this automated voice call is triggered as soon as their Delivery Expert is within 600 metres of their address – giving customers enough time to receive their Zero Contact Delivery.
“For customers, this could mean providing enough notice to come downstairs if they live in an apartment building, to put the porch light on so their house can easily be located, to restrain their dog, prepare their payment method, or simply make sure they are dressed appropriately (trust me, we’ve seen it all!).
“The result? Less time spent scrambling at the door at the risk of your order going cold, and more time sitting around the dinner table digging into hotter, fresher pizza with family and friends!”
Mr Knight said digital innovations like Call on Arrival were designed to deliver a rewarding and seamless customer experience.
“Domino’s digital technology plays an important role in improving the customer experience and helping team members be more accurate and efficient.
“Not only does the introduction of Call on Arrival help customers to receive hotter, fresher pizza, but it also assists our Delivery Experts to make more deliveries in less time – helping to keep more Australians at home and safely fed during this time,” Mr Knight said.
Domino’s Call on Arrival is now available across Australia. All calls are made during store opening hours, seven days a week.
