Domino's Beaudesert helps 'Feed the Knead' on World Teacher's Day

Domino’s Beaudesert franchisee Oryssa Van Keuk is proud to give back to teachers at local Beaudesert schools in honour of World Teacher’s Day 2021, donating more than 200 pizzas to thank them for all they do.

Passionate about giving back to her local community, the donation comes as part of Domino’s nationwide ‘Feed the Knead’ program, which aims to provide support in the form of free pizza to local people and causes in need.

With more than 200 pizzas enjoyed by teachers at eight local schools in Beaudesert, Ms Van Keuk said she knows that teachers are instrumental in the growth and development of young Australians and wanted to recognise their hard work ahead of the day that is dedicated to the profession.

“I wanted to thank our local Beaudesert teachers in honour of World Teacher’s Day, because I know the difference they make to the lives of their students.

“Growing up, some of the most influential people in my life were my teachers, and they offered guidance and support whenever I needed it.

“Teachers often go above and beyond for their students, with lots of time spent after hours lesson planning and marking, and so often, I don’t think many people realise just how much they do for their students.

“As a local business owner, a number of my team members attend the local high school, and I often see the teachers in action providing support to my employees, so I want to celebrate the work our wonderful teachers do with this pizza donation,” said Ms Van Keuk.

Giving back to the community is something Ms Van Keuk and the Domino’s Beaudesert team do often, having raised funds for local causes through ‘Doughraisers’, and supporting more than 20 sporting clubs.

“I feel privileged to be able to support my local community, and at Domino’s Beaudesert, we have held Doughraisers in support of unwell community members, and charities such as Borderline Youth Camp.

“In addition, we sponsor over 20 local sporting clubs and teams, because I believe community sport is so vital in bringing our community together.

“I’m always keen to offer my support in any way I can, so if anyone knows of a person or cause in need that would benefit from a Feed the Knead donation, a local cause needing assistance fundraising, or a sporting club needing a sponsor, please feel free to reach out,” said Ms Van Keuk.
