Domino's helping to 'Feed the Knead' one pizza at a time
Since the beginning of the pandemic, Domino’s and its registered charity Give for Good have been working hard to feed the frontline – donating more than 50,000 pizzas to those working around the clock to keep us safe and our society moving.
Now, as our local communities continue to feel the impact of COVID-19, the pizza company is focusing its efforts on helping those in ‘knead’.
Domino’s ‘Feed the Knead’ program allows individuals to nominate someone they know who is doing it tough via a form on the website. The local Domino’s store will then assess this application and if approved, provide support in the form of free pizza.
So far, Domino’s has donated more than 2,000 pizzas to those in need across Australia.
Domino’s Australia and New Zealand CEO Nick Knight said the Company was committed to giving back to the communities in which it operates.
“These are challenging times and we consider it a privilege to be able to continue to deliver safe, hot meals.
“We are doing everything possible to live up to that privilege and to return the support that our communities so generously provide us,” Mr Knight said.
“So, whether you have lost your job due to COVID-19, are struggling to put food on the table, or know an individual or business doing it tough, we want to do what we can to help.
“We know that pizza can’t solve all of the world’s problems, but it can bring a small slice of joy to a bad day, and in these times of extreme stress and uncertainty that’s never been more important.”
The Feed the Knead program is championed by local Domino’s stores, with people encouraged to ‘nominate someone in knead’ in their local community by filling in a form at dominos.com.au/feed-the-knead.
