Sausage or no sausage? Local Domino’s franchisee holds pizza-themed gender reveal party

Meet local Brisbane couple Cee-Jay White and Maddi Luscombe.

Parents, partners and also… pizza lovers.

As the local franchisees of Domino’s New Farm, and expecting parents to be, Cee-Jay and Maddi took their passion for pizza to ‘cheesy’ new heights on the weekend, with a gender reveal that couldn’t be ‘topped’.

In the company of close friends and family, the couple hosted a pizza-themed gender reveal party with slices of piping hot Domino’s Pepperoni and Simply Cheese pizza, asking guests to: “Pick your gender. Sausage, or no Sausage?”

The final reveal? No sausage!

SAUSAGE OR NO SAUSAGE?: Cee-Jay and Maddi look forward to welcoming their third girl!

Delighted to welcome his third little girl into the world, Domino’s New Farm franchisee Cee-Jay White said his older sister organised the surprise gender reveal party for the couple as reflection of their commitment to the ‘pizza life’.

“I first started my ‘career in pizza’ in 2009, when I joined Domino’s Bundaberg as a Delivery Expert helping to deliver safe, hot meals to locals while studying.

“From there, I slowly moved up the ranks from driver, to store manager and then regional leader. It’s also where I was lucky enough to meet the love of my life, Maddi, whose sister also worked for Domino’s at the time!”

In 2019, Mr White and Ms Luscombe fell in love with the idea of earning their own ‘crust’ as business owners.

When the opportunity to take the next step in their pizza journey arose, the couple decided to take the leap, becoming the franchisees of Domino’s New Farm.

“Ever since then, we have been committed to not only to each other… but also all things pizza! It’s such a huge part of our lives, so holding a pizza-themed gender reveal party just made sense!

“As the ‘Mr and Ms Pizza’ in our local community helping to deliver slices of joy and comfort to locals, it’s something we’re very proud of,” Mr White said.

In 2020, the couple were privileged to expand their business, taking on Domino’s Sandgate, the same store their eldest daughter Lilly, had her first Domino’s shift.

“As a self-proclaimed ‘Dominoid’ with a passion for pizza that spans more than a decade, watching my daughter put on her very first Domino’s hat and name badge… well, it was an incredibly proud moment.

“As a local business owner, I also understand how lucky I am to be able to operate and safely feed those in the community. And to be able to do so alongside my family means everything to me!”

Committed to supporting the local community in which he operates, Mr White has donated more than 2,000 safe, hot meals to individuals, businesses and charities doing it tough through Domino’s ‘Feed the Knead’ program, and hosted several ‘Doughraisers’ to raise funds for causes like Borderline Youth Camp – an initiative dedicated to supporting young Queenslanders and their mental health.

“If you, or someone you know, is in ‘knead’ of support or any kind of relief, I encourage you to please reach out to Domino’s New Farm or Sandgate. We would like to know how we can help.”

Has Cee-Jay and his ‘a-dough-rable’ family stolen a ‘pizza your heart?’ Perhaps you’ve got a craving for something ‘cheesy’, or an inspiration to plan a pizza-themed party?
