Domino’s raising ‘dough’ for Wooroloo and Hills Bushfire Appeal 2021

Domino’s stores across Western Australia will donate $1 from every pizza sold on Wednesday 10 February to the Lord Mayor’s Distress Relief Fund (LMDRF), supporting those impacted by the Wooroloo and Hills bushfires.

Domino’s Australia and New Zealand CEO Nick Knight said with Western Australia’s bushfire season far from over, stores across the state are looking to help in any way they can.

“Domino’s is often the last kitchen to close during a natural disaster, supporting affected communities by donating much-needed hot meals to first responders, volunteers and evacuees.

“During the Australian bushfire crisis in 2020, our stores worked hard to donate more than 5,600 pizzas to communities in need right across the country, giving those in fire affected areas one less thing to worry about – a safe, hot meal,” Mr Knight said.

“Our teams are proud to support the everyday heroes on the front lines and communities displaced by the devastating fires in the City of Swan and Shire of Mundaring and will continue to donate hot meals for as long as it is safe to do so.”

This Wednesday, Domino’s stores across Western Australia will come together to raise funds for the families affected by the Wooroloo and Hills bushfires, providing urgent financial assistance to help alleviate any distress, suffering or personal hardship.

Donating $1 from every pizza sold on the day, Domino’s hopes to raise more than $50,000 for the Wooroloo and Hills Bushfire Appeal 2021 with the assistance of Domino’s registered charity, Give for Good, who has pledged to match the total funds raised dollar-for-dollar.

“We understand that while we can’t replace what people have lost, we can help ease the financial burden, and provide a hot meal,” Mr Knight said.

“These families in Wooroloo are not only our valued customers; they are our neighbours, our friends and our family and we are proud to do what we can to make this challenging time that little bit easier.”
