Domino’s noods exposed: Pizza loses top(pings) in hot pasta hook up
Australia’s favourite pizza toppings have been caught in the nood with a saucy new partner today in steamy pics that have sent food fans wild.
Simply Cheese, Firebreather and even Meatlovers are just some of the big pizza names that have been seen leaving their base(s) to be with one of the world’s most irresistible carbs for Domino’s new Pizza Pasta Range.
“This is not pizza and pasta, this is pizza pasta,” Domino’s ANZ CMO Allan Collins said. “Real pizza ingredients, like our Simply Cheese Pizza, oven-baked with hot, tender al dente pasta, resulting in much-loved classics like Mac & Cheese.
“We’ve brought two headline acts together for an unforgettable performance of flavour and texture.”
Think penne in rich Napoli sauce topped with Domino's pepperoni, smokey leg ham, seasoned ground beef, fiery jalapeños, tomato and sliced red onion with a spicy hit of chilli flakes and finished with mozzarella and garlic butter (Firebreather Pasta).
Or how about spiral pasta loaded with a carbonara-style sauce, Domino's seasoned chicken, sliced red onion, crispy bacon rasher, stretchy mozzarella and garlic butter (BBQ Chicken & Bacon Pasta)?
Mr Collins said every product at Domino’s was designed to be delivered, which made the new Pizza Pastas a game-changer.
“Pasta has traditionally not travelled well – it dries out and loses heat very quickly,” he said.
“Domino’s explored every pasta-bility to ensure we could deliver the hottest, freshest pasta experience right to your door, just like our pizzas.
“So, if you think your favourite pizza can’t be topped – just wait until you try it on pasta.”
