Domino’s adds one of the biggest food trends to its menu – vegan cheese!

Vegans across Australia can now indulge in delicious, cheesy pizzas as Domino’s has launched vegan cheese and a range of new Vegan pizzas on its menu today.

With a move to plant-based, and meat-free products one of the biggest trends in food, Domino’s CEO Australia and New Zealand Nick Knight said the Company was excited to launch the product to the menu.

Domino’s decision to add vegan cheese followed a survey on the Company’s Facebook page late last year to test demand for the product across Australia.

“We were blown away by the response to the survey and for this product in general,” Mr Knight said.

“At Domino’s, we pride ourselves on our ‘people-powered pizza’ mantra and listen to what our customers want.

“The popularity of, and demand for, vegan products has increased considerably over the years so it’s great we are now able to offer this high quality, non-GMO, plant-based and preservative free Vegan Cheese.

“We have tested this cheese in our LuvLab development kitchen, and confirmed this vegan-friendly alternative has the same taste, texture and melt as real dairy cheese. It’s also cholesterol free, making it the perfect, healthy indulgence.

“Initially vegan cheese will be available in stores for a limited time, and if customers love it as much as we do, we will look to make this a regular feature of the Domino’s menu.

“Domino’s will now offer three dedicated vegan pizzas for a limited time – the Vegan Avocado Veg, the Vegan Spicy Trio and the Vegan Margherita.

“At Domino’s, we’re all about providing choice for our customers and want to give people options to suit their diet.

“Our pizza sauce and bases are vegan-friendly so all of the pizzas on our menu can in fact be altered to suit a vegan diet. For an additional $2.95, people can simply swap out our usual mozzarella for the vegan-friendly alternative.

“This is also great news for people with allergies and food sensitivities as it contains no dairy, gluten or soy.

“Our ongoing journey to provide customers with a menu we are proud of and one that offers more choices led us to finding the best in taste and melt after a long search of vegan cheese options,” he said.
