A HANDS-DOWN WINNER: Domino’s appoints inaugural ANZ Hand Model
After an extensive search across Australia and New Zealand for the most exquisite set of hands, Domino’s has officially found the perfect palms for the job and yesterday, appointed its first ever ANZ Hand Model!
The winning application by Matt Strain from Logan, Queensland can be viewed here.
During his first day on the job, Matt got his hands stuck into all things pizza, receiving an exclusive tour of Domino’s top-secret Innovation Kitchen, followed by striking some poses in the professional Say Cheese photo studio and enjoying a delicious pizza lunch.
When asked about his top tips for pizza hand modelling, Matt said that the trick is well-kept, carefully maintained hands that are unblemished from hard work.
“This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity has been nothing short of fantastic. I’ve always been a fan of Domino’s, and now I get to lend a hand in showcasing their pizzas,” said Matt.
“Highlights of the role, other than the actual hand modelling, were definitely meeting the big cheese himself, Don Meij, and the chance to try my hand at making my very own Domino’s pizza!”
Domino’s ANZ People Business Partner Matt Baldwin said that Matt’s application was a slice above the rest.
“We had well over 100 pairs of hands apply for the coveted job role, which just goes to show the immense interest and excitement around this unique opportunity,” said Mr Baldwin.
“Sifting through all the applications was a real handful, but in the best way! Seeing the creative lengths people went to showcase their hands was great fun, from jazz hands to shadow puppets, we saw it all!
“Not only was Matt’s application incredibly creative, but he also demonstrated a clear passion for the Domino’s brand. He even said that his hands were shaveable upon request, which really shows his dedication to the role.”
